AskEcho stores your API key, API base URL, selected model, and conversation history locally in Chrome extension storage on your device. AskEcho does not operate an account system or its own cloud database.
When you submit a question, AskEcho processes the current webpage and sends the resulting page context, your question, and relevant recent conversation history to the API provider configured by you. AskEcho does not send webpage content until you explicitly ask a question.
Your data is used only to generate the answer you requested. AskEcho does not sell data, use advertising trackers, or send analytics to an AskEcho-operated server.
Your configured AI provider processes requests under its own privacy policy. Review that provider's policy before adding an API key.
You can delete the extension to remove its local data, or clear extension storage through Chrome's extension settings.
